Gedeon GRC Celebrates Water Week

Coinciding with the events organized in Washington D.C. by the major water organizations in the US and culminating today World Water Day, Gedeon GRC is participating to Water Week to raise awareness of global water issues and ways to reduce their impact.

Throughout this week, the firm’s green channel, Gedeon GRC Green, will publish facts, articles and infographics on the global water crisis and what can be done to alleviate it.

Gedeon GRC believes that the engineering and construction industries have a very important role to play in improving water management in urban areas and in industrial plants.

Over the years, our company has been involved in several projects requiring the implementation of advanced water management and preservation design, while striving to adopt a sustainable approach to the challenges posed by each site.

In recent months, Gedeon GRC has been working on the storm water management system for 2 Fulton Square, a mixed-use development that spans two blocks in Flushing, New York. For this project designed by LEED accredited engineer Alan Fox, Gedeon GRC provided storm water management, blue roof/green design, rainwater harvesting, sewer connection, TV inspection, erosion and sediment control.

Our firm is committed to expand its services in this sector as LEED-certified buildings in the United States are estimated to save $149.5 million in water between 2015 and 2018.

To mark the importance of global water issues and highlight some possible solutions we have produced this infographic on the water cycle.
