Gedeon GRC Consulting has an immediate need for a Senior CAD Operator/Designer to join our outstanding team of engineering professionals designing highways, bridges and general civil works. The Senior CAD Designer role is a great opportunity to grow with us and advance your career.

Mandatory Requirements

• Proficient in drawing and detailing civil engineering plans using Microstation.
• Proficient in producing base drawings from raw field data and as-built drawings.
• Proficient in using Microstation software to establish horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles and cross sections, as well as develop details and tables.
• Ability to utilize Microstation in preparation of plans for WZTC/MPT, traffic signals, drainage, pavement markings and signage, precise grading, water, sewer, storm drain, street improvements for private and public infrastructure projects including land development projects.
• Ability to produce drawings and designs under minimal direction of the engineer or project manager.
• Familiarity with NYSDOT CAD Standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred
• 5 years minimum experience in the Industry.

Preferred Requirements

• The minimum educational qualifications are 2 years’ of technical school education with CAD and drafting / design or equivalent or Associate’s Degree in Architectural or Engineering Design Technologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of the latest versions of Microstation and AutoCAD is required.
• 5 years of experience, including direct drafting work in highways, bridges and general civil works is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in developing alignments using Inroads and Civil 3D
• Proficient in drawing/detailing civil engineering plans using Microstation and AutoCAD
