Field days involve setting up expensive, heavy, and fragile equipment, then dismantling and relocating it to new reference points. This process is time consuming and costly, exacerbated by the current shortage of surveyors in the country.

Instead of transporting bulky equipment in large trucks, a single drone can perform the job efficiently, minimizing the number of survey points required to be geolocated. Modern drones can adapt to various tasks by adding or removing payloads as needed, such as high resolution visual cameras, LiDAR, and Post-Processed Kinematic (PPK) / Real-time kinematic (RTK) modules. What once took multiple days to survey a large job site can now be accomplished within hours.
