Mr. Riccio possesses over 35 years of comprehensive experience in construction and project management in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Riccio has served in a variety of positions in government including Commissioner of New York City Department of Transportation, a board member of the MTA, and a staff member of the President’s Commission on Productivity. Mr. Riccio is a partner at Gedeon GRC Consulting in charge of Strategic Planning and Development and oversees all construction work.

Mr. Riccio is also an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School, Engineering College and School of Public Affairs. He has also taught at Lehigh University, George Washington University, and NYU. He has published extensively, served on the editorial board of the Operations Research Journal, received ORSA’s (now INFORMS) President’s Award for lifetime achievement in OR/MS, was a finalist in the Edelman Prize, received the City Club’s Earthling Award for outstanding public service, and the March of Dimes Service to Humanity award.

Mr. Riccio serves on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan (NY) Golf Association, has been a member of the USGA’s Handicap Research Team since its founding in 1979, and has published several articles on golf including a chapter in Breaking 90, a book by Johnny Miller. He also serves as a board member of metrocommute.com, an Internet start up.

Mr. Riccio holds a PhD in Operations Research and Public Administration, and a Master and Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. He is licensed in the state of New York.
