International LEED Zero certification awarded to US company’s headquarters

 

Located in Little Rock (AR), the headquarters of Entegrity Energy is the second building in the world to get LEED Zero certification and the first in the United States. The original building designed in 1958 was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017 and awarded LEED Platinum certification, the previous top achievement for green buildings. Its features include electrochromatic windows that tint at the command of a Wi-Fi signal, high-control HVAC systems, and all-LED lighting. The LEED Zero  program was inaugurated a year ago. and it recognizes buildings operating with net zero carbon emissions and LEED Zero resources covering energy, waste (Zero waste certification) and water.
