At Gedeon GRC, we feel a duty to aid healthcare workers practically and tangibly. Engineers historically protect their communities by designing defenses; today, we support frontline heroes by providing equipment.
Through our foundation, Gedeon Empowerment Project, we are producing face shields using the NIH-approved Model ID 3DPX-013306, which is efficient and clinically approved. Shields are printed with our Lulzbot Taz 6 printer and PLA plastic, assembled with binder sheets, disinfected, and packaged with date labels for safety. We have produced over 100 shields for local hospitals.
Our operations remain fully functional with teleworking staff and on-site construction compliant with CDC and State guidelines. We encourage others in the AEC community to join us in supporting those impacted by this pandemic. Stay safe and share your ideas with us.
