Assistant Resident Engineer/Office Engineer

Job Description

The Assistant Resident Engineer/Office Engineer for a roadway reconstruction project in Hempstead, Long Island for 3-4 months. Project starting in May to the end of summer. The qualified candidate must have NYSDOT construction inspection experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track project schedule and budget.
  • Interface with municipal client and contractors.
  • Coordinate and track all project plans and drawings.
  • Oversee and monitor Field Inspection.
  • Assist with monitoring safety compliance
  • Preparation of daily and monthly reports
  • Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and recommendations concerning construction issues.
  • Review, compile and prepare all documentation required to submit a pay application. Applicant shall have understanding and experience with forms like Murk, Payment Application, and Certified Payroll Etc.
  • Assist with contract close-out
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, NICET, ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification, NYSDOT Site Manager Training, NETTCP Soil & Aggregate Certification, OSHA, SPEDS etc. preferred.
